The Burston Strike School is located at the heart of the village of Burston alongside the village green. The village is about 18 miles south of Norwich, off the A140 and 3 miles northeast of Diss. The nearest rail station is Diss with regular trains running from Norwich to London Liverpool Street. A limited bus service runs through Burston.
From Norwich: Take the A140 south towards Ipswich for approximately 15 miles. 2 miles after the Pulham roundabout turn right at the sign post to Burston and Shimpling. After 2 wiggly miles, the Burston Crown can be found on your right at the cross roads in the centre of the village.
From Ipswich: Take the A14 west to Bury St Edmunds after approximately 8 miles turn north onto the A140. After about 15 miles and going straight over 3 roundabouts you will see a sign post on your left hand sign for Burston and Shimpling, turn left here. After 2 wiggly miles, the Burston Crown can be found on your right hand side at the cross roads in the centre of the village.
From Bury St. Edmunds: Take the A143 east towards Diss and Great Yarmouth. After approximately 18 miles, drive straight over at first round about and at the 2nd round turn left towards Norwich – joining the A140. Go straight over the next 2 roundabouts and about 400 yards after 2nd roundabout, turn left towards Burston and Shimpling. After 2 wiggly miles, the Burston Crown can be found on your hand side at the cross roads in the centre of the villlage.
From Vine Barn, The Haywood: From Vine Barn turn right. At the red post box, take the 1st left signed to Burston1 3/4 and Gissing on to Back Heywood Road. Stay on this road. You will pass a sign for Burston 1 mile on your right hand side. Continuing on this road you will pass 30 mph speed signs, still continuing on this wiggly road (do not turn off anywhere) you will pass BOCM Paul’s Mill on your left hand side. Passing Crown Farm on your right hand side, take the left turn opposite Burston’s Chapel into the Burston Crown’s car park. From Vine Barn to the Burston Crown the journey is about 1.5 miles.
